OUR MISSION
The Louisville Metro Police Foundation is committed to making Louisville a safer place to live, work and visit, one officer at a time. As an independent, private nonprofit organization—the only organization authorized to raise funds on behalf of the Louisville Metro Police Department—we use donations to finance essential equipment, training and programs for the men and women in blue of the LMPD and their families.
ONE OFFICER AT A TIME
The intense physical, psychological, and emotional demands of protecting our city creates stress in the lives of our officers. At LMPF, we believe that each and every one of our men and women in blue deserves our deep respect for their well being and the well-being of their families. We remain dedicated to ensuring that, whether at home or in the line of duty, they always have backup. Because when our officers are supported and protected, so is our city.
Officer in Distress Program
When tragedy occurs in the lives of LMPD officers or staff, they need to know that we’re behind them all the way. Our Officer in Distress Fund provides direct financial support to those LMPD officers and staff members suffering extraordinary professional or personal catastrophes. Visit our support page to give directly to this critical fund.
SUMMIT WELLNESS CENTER
The Summit Wellness Center was established with the goal of providing a holistic wellness center for our law enforcement and first responder community. The center focuses on building resilience in the mind, body, and spirit through the five pillars of wellness: Mental, Physical, Spiritual, Social, and Financial. The Wellness Center provides mental health services, physical therapy, rehabilitation services, financial counseling, family support services, and more. THANK YOU, OFFICERS. YOU’RE ALWAYS HERE FOR US.
Every minute of every day of every year, the men and women of the Louisville Metro Police Department answer a calling to serve and protect our community. But they’re also neighbors and friends, mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, daughters and sons—and they need our support. Whenever you see an LMPD officer, be sure to say “thank you.” Their tireless efforts help make Louisville a safer place to live, work and visit. A place we’re proud to call home.
